Heather Robbins is our candidate for the Bognor Regis West & Aldwick electoral divison of West Sussex County Council.
Candidate statement:
West Sussex County Council is constantly introducing new swathes of cutbacks yet seems to face a never-ending budget gap, the latest report showed £75.5million over the next 4 years. The worst of the 4 years is next year, 2020-21, with a projected shortfall of £28million. Meanwhile, demand for children’s services and social care has continued to rise. As a working mum, I’m sick of seeing our local schools and services struggle and feeling powerless to stop it. I’d be proud to represent Bognor West & Aldwick to stand up for our community and find innovative ways to improve services, making them more efficient, greener and more sustainable, in partnership with local people. West Sussex seems to be consistently one of the worst councils in the country on so many issues: Children’s Services, Fire and Rescue, staff unions, etc. We need more Labour voices on it!
